Below are a series of best practices to maximize the professional development programming EcSELL Institute provides its members.
EcSELL recognizes that life as a Sales Manager is hectic, therefore, our professional development mediums are varied and flexible. We strive to accommodate individual learning styles and preferences in our educational offerings.
BEST PRACTICES from EcSELL Institute Members
Peer Network
- Senior management utilizes this private forum to post questions, and to receive best practices and advice from other EcSELL Institute members.
- Senior management encourages field sales managers to do the same. It becomes an ancillary coaching method for field sales management, as well as an additional forum for learning best practices from like-minded Sales Managers throughout the world.
- All postings to the Peer Network are pushed out monthly via Discussion Alert emails to members, ensuring they are always current on best-practice questions and answers.
Monthly Sales Management Webinars
- Many members meet as a team monthly to view and discuss each Sales Management Webinar.
- Senior members of teams listen and, if pertinent, share the Webinar recordings with their teams so they can listen at their leisure.
- All past Webinars are housed in the EcSELL Institute Resource Library and are available 24 hours a day. Review a summary of past Sales Management Webinars.
Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summits
- Each Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit is unique. We bring in new instructors and focus on a different aspect of leadership and coaching at each event.
- Many members bring their entire sales management team to a Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit each year.
- Members allow each Sales Manager to determine which sales leadership events are most relevant to personal development and provide them the budget to attend.
- Many members use the Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit as a team building and planning mechanism. They stay an additional day to synthesize the information and do some strategic planning while off-site. EcSELL Institute helps make the appropriate arrangements for your team.
Collaborative Learning Forums
EcSELL Institute members actively participate in each Collaborative Learning Forum. These small group, audio conference sessions allow members to share their current challenges and then the group exchanges ideas and best practices. Members learn from each other in these powerful, 30-minute sessions.
EcSELL Institute Team Assistance
- EcSELL Institute members communicate with our team of professionals, and call with specific questions regarding projects or initiatives pertinent to their sales teams.
- Members call for help searching for best practice documents.
- Members call asking for peer organizations with whom they can visit about specific topics.
- EcSELL Institute can recommend companies that provide solutions around the 6 Pillars of Productivity. Because we receive no remuneration of any kind from our partners in the form of "kick backs" or referral fees, this allows us to focus solely on organizations that are the best-in-class in their area of expertise.
Resource Library
- Senior members encourage and steer their teams to locate answers to questions in our Resource Library. This exercise instills the habit of site utilization, and encourages the access of additional information targeted toward maximizing the productivity of the teams.
- Sales Trainers and Senior Sales Managers utilize this site to find fact-based articles from which to lead conversations on specific topics. For example, one member finds pieces pertaining to "sales methodologies" and provides the link to the sales management team, asking them to read and to be ready to discuss. Another member prints articles from the Resource Library and keeps these in a folder to read while on the next plane.
All new documents entered into the Resource Library are offered first to EcSELL Institute members in the form of monthly E-Alerts. Additional research is highlighted in our Sales Management Newsletter and in the Presidential Passage. Each provides a brief synopsis and link to the research/article/webinar, etc.
Inclusive of all resources listed above, EcSELL Institute will work specifically with your team to find a series of best practices to maximize professional development for you and your team.
