Frequently Asked Questions about the Summit

WHAT MAKES THE EcSELL INSTITUTE SALES LEADERSHIP AND COACHING STRATEGIES SUMMIT DIFFERENT FROM OTHER SALES MANAGER DEVELOPMENT OPTIONS?

The EcSELL Institute Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit is the only research-based sales manager conference of its kind, designed specifically for the needs of VP Sales, CSOs, and Sales Managers. All of the instructors bring ideas that have been proven to work and are validated by research or best practice. No theories or opinions here, as no one has time to listen to someone's personal hunch.

Learning from each other is one of the most powerful experiences the EcSELL Institute Summit offers. In the afternoon, attendees will separate into two groups, with one targeted toward coaching coaches and the other toward coaching sales reps. Each peer group session (led by our morning instructors) will share best practices, insights, sales techniques, and experiences on the unique challenges of sales management.

The content of the 2010 Summit is focused on Collaborative Leadership and Accountability Coaching. Research identifies clear and measurable business benefits from professional sales leadership development. Participants are presented cutting-edge strategies, tools, technologies, and best practices  which will enable them to be more effective in their roles, and thus positively impact sales rep retention, sales motivation, and hence, sale rep production.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH PORTION OF THE SALES CONFERENCE TO ATTEND?

We recommend that CSOs, Senior VP Sales, or anyone who manages Sales Mangers attend the Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit. Attend the "Mastering and Managing the 6 Pillars of Productivity" pre-Summit 6 Pillar Workshop only if you have yet to learn about cutting edge best practices around each Pillar, or if possibly a refresher course is needed.

People who manage sales producers should attend the special 6 Pillar Workshop plus the Summit.

We suggest that sales teams meet for dinner on Wednesday evening to share and synthesize the information gathered during the 6 Pillar Workshop. EcSELL Institute would be delighted to recommend a restaurant near the hotel and make reservations for your sales team's dinner on Wednesday night. Call Will Kloefkorn at 402-805-4238 for assistance.

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF ATTENDING?

The EcSELL Institute Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit provides an unparalleled opportunity to focus on the areas that make the biggest impact on sales team productivity. Implementing the advice of our instructors will result in clear and measurable business benefits.

Additionally, the agenda provides ample time for interaction with your peers so you can learn from each other. You will walk away with a professional network of friends.

SHOULD I BRING MY ENTIRE SALES MANGEMENT TEAM?

We encourage organizations to bring their entire sales management team, so as to develop a unified vision and strategy for leading and coaching a team to greatness.

We would be delighted to arrange a special meeting room for your group before or after the Summit in the event you desire to turn this into a powerful team building session. Just call Will at 402-805-4238 so he can understand your team meeting needs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO EVENTS?

The Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit is designed to enhance the coaching and leadership skills of all levels of sales management, to include those that coach sales coaches as well as those that coach sales reps.

NEW! Based on feedback from the our most recent Summit, EcSELL Institute is providing a 6 Pillar Workshop before the Summit begins. It is for front-line Sales Managers (those who coach sales reps) who want to understand how to use the 6 Pillars of Productivity to drive sales team performance.

IF I ATTEND THE BONUS DAY, CAN I ALSO ATTEND THE SUMMIT AND VICE VERSA?

YES! Participants in the "Mastering and Managing the 6 Pillars of Productivity" bonus day are encouraged to attend the full Sales Leadership and Coaching Strategies Summit. It is the integration of leadership, coaching, and managing the 6 Pillars that lead to the greatest impact in sales team performance. However, attendees do have the option to attend just the 6 Pillar Workshop and not attend the Summit, or just the Summit and not the 6 Pillar Workshop.

WHO WILL BE THERE?

Both members and non-members of the EcSELL Institute are invited to attend. Members of the EcSELL Institute community view this as one of the most beneficial networking events of the year, and many bring their entire sales management team to the Summit. The EcSELL Institute Sales Management Summit is designed only for people who lead and coach sales reps and/or Sales Managers.
