William L Eckstrom, President 

William Eckstrom is the President and founder of the EcSell Institute. Bill has spent his entire career in the sales arena; the first 14 years in personal production and then 13 in various sales leadership roles. His management career began in 2000 as a District Manager for a medical equipment company and was promoted to U.S. Director of Sales in 2003. In 2004, Bill was lured away to become Senior Vice President of Business Development for a publicly traded healthcare organization. In 2008, he founded the EcSell Institute to fill a void he witnessed and personally experienced in the sales leadership profession.

Bill presented a TEDx Talk to an audience of over 1,700 at the University of Nevada, Reno where he shared life-altering, personal and professional development ideas through the introduction of the “Growth Rings." Since the release of the Talk, it received 100,00 views in just one week and now has over 250,000. He has also been featured on the cover of Top Sales World magazine, led several leadership educational opportunities through EcSell Coaching Summits and Academies, and is the author of hundreds of published articles, whitepapers and e-books on the topic of coaching and sales team performance. He is passionate about the impact of coaching on individuals and teams and makes sure his team at EcSell aggressively pursues new research and enhanced performance practices for sales leaders.

As a result of his experiences, his company’s findings, and his public speaking skills, Bill’s work as a keynote speaker is highly regarded throughout North America. While his audiences call him “profoundly authentic”, “highly entertaining” and much more, Bill is most proud of the fact his material is based on EcSell’s science and research—he does not present motivational fluff. He has presented to hundreds of groups ranging in size from 25-2,500 on topics such as:

  • How to coach for peak performance
  • The sales performance evolution
  • The role of the manager as a coach
  • And many more…

Lincoln, Nebraska is home for Bill and his wife. Together they have three children, Will Jr, Claire and Maddie. Philanthropically, Bill prefers a very hands-on approach as evidenced by his current involvement and passion--working and training their Yellow Labrador, Aspen, for therapy dog work. Soon he and his four legged companion will be visiting children in hospitals and senior citizens in nursing home settings. Bill also has a strong need to be in the outdoors and finds time each year to spend in field and stream with his children and close friends.

Will Kloefkorn has been in the sales industry his entire career. Serving as a sales manager with the EcSell Institute team since the company's inception, Will is responsible for leading EcSell Institute's worldwide sales growth strategies and business development initiatives. Will brings an unparalleled passion to the EcSell Institute and his belief in the effect of coaching, leadership and management on the performance of sales teams, as well as athletic teams, has been recognized on many levels.

Will's background includes business development jobs across the board with recognized organizations such as ESPN and Enterprise as well as time spent with a smaller start-up organization.

In addition to his business development activities, Will is a popular speaker at EcSell Institute events as he is able to articulate the needs and solutions our clients encounter on a daily basis.  He brings a refreshing approach when presenting to sales leaders where he challenges his audiences to think about their impact on sales producers. Since he is a student of leadership and coaching, he knows firsthand how those talents and skills can help take a producer from simply good, to extraordinary.  Will has created a highly informative presentation based on EcSell’s “Through the Eyes of the Sales Rep” research titled What You Are Not Hearing from your Sales Producers is Losing You Sales.

Will earned his Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he also resides with his wife Amy, four-year old son Jackson, and newborn daughter Maryn. Beyond work and family, most of Will’s energies are spent in competitive athletic endeavors, writing, reading, and spending time with close friends.

Kerstin Olson, Chief Financial OfficerKerstin_Headshot_round-735609-edited.png

Kerstin Olson has been with the EcSell Institute since its inception. She has overall responsibility for membership services, information technology, finance, and the company's internal operations. She also serves as treasurer and secretary for the EcSell Institute Board of Directors. One of Kerstin's priorities is to help ensure that the passion, philosophy, and vision embodied at the corporate level are reflected throughout EcSell's membership base.

Kerstin resides in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband and three children.

Sarah Wirth, Vice President of Client ServicesSarah_Headshot_round-713536-edited.png

Sarah Wirth has over 17 years of experience in employee assessment, leadership development, sales executive coaching, and customer service.

She began her career as a talent analyst for an international human resource firm, where she coached leaders in organizations ranging from small not-for-profits to Fortune 500 companies. When named chair of leadership consulting and a member of the senior operations team, she helped lead the organization to a 65% increase in revenues. In 2009, she joined a publicly-traded organization as the vice president of client service, increasing client contract retention by 36%.  In 2011 Sarah came on board with the EcSell team as Vice President of Member Services, where she oversees member retention and all aspects of sales coaching, leadership and management research.  Under Sarah’s leadership, EcSell Institute’s member retention has grown to over 94%.

Sarah has a passion for leadership and its impact on the performance of teams.  She takes an analytical approach to understanding the skills and talents of high-performing sales leaders and is constantly providing EcSell members with new methods for leading and coaching. 

Sarah has presented to executives from across the globe with organizations such as Mercedes Benz, Estee Lauder, Ritz Carlton, Cheesecake Factory and many more.  Her expertise in coaching and leadership, combined with her fact based, common sense approach to their application make her a sought after presenter at any event. 

Sarah has a B.S. from the University of Nebraska, holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association. She has also served as a legal advisor for previous employers, specifically in the areas of contract, employment and intellectual property law.

Stacia Jorgensen, Director of ResearchStacia_Headshot_round-646389-edited.png

Stacia Jorgensen brings an array of experiences and invaluable expertise in data collection, analysis, and research reporting to the EcSell Institute as the Director of Research.

As part of her role, she leads all research initiatives, the creation of coaching performance assessments, and was instrumental in helping EcSell translate coaching into a series of measurable metrics. Stacia’s goal is to help EcSell’s clients discover actionable insights surrounding coaching effectiveness that allow them to achieve the highest levels of performance. Her research discoveries now provide sales leaders a never seen before view of team performance that is changing how teams are coached, led and managed. Supporting EcSell’s highly collaborative culture, Stacia also brings her analytical and thoughtful perspective to every department within the EcSell organization.

Prior to moving into her role with EcSell, Stacia led a non-profit academic research organization for nearly 13 years. Additionally, she has consulted with many for-profit organizations looking to improve their data collection methodologies and to design procedures for sharing their data in meaningful ways. Stacia has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative data collection methodologies.

Stacia received a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to her experience in collecting data, she also teaches undergraduate level Sociology courses. While her heart lies with Research Methods courses and courses in Applied Sociology, she has also taught courses on the Sociology of Sport, Marriage and the Family, and the Sociology of Crime. This academic background in Sociology influences Stacia to look at EcSell’s coaching research beyond simply numbers but from a human behavior and real-world perspective.

She resides in the mountains outside of Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband, two small children and two small dogs.

Kathy Collins, Vice President of OperationsKathy_Headshot_round-884412-edited.png

Kathy Collins joined the EcSell Institute in January 2014 as the leader of EcSell’s ONE-UP sales coaching cloud and process. She currently handles software maintenance as well as client needs and support. As an empowered facilitator, she dedicates her work to efficiently improving upon strong organizational process and the corresponding measurement and tracking that coincides.

Kathy has enjoyed leading in a wide variety of experiences throughout her 25-years as an advertising and marketing professional, and you’ll find that ‘fast-paced’ and ‘attention-to-detail’ describe her preferred environment.

She also has a huge heart for local community causes and volunteers regularly. Kathy has a special quality about her and that is she deeply cares about everyone she comes into contact with. She is always willing to lend a helping hand because that’s just who she is and the EcSell team is honored to have someone so genuine like her on board.

Kathy resides in Lincoln, Nebraska with her wonderful husband Michael and her two sons. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her close family and friends as well as gardening, cooking, and watching a full schedule of the kids’ activities.

Jeffrey brings over 35 years of computer and technology experience including 20+ years of direct support services. He has been involved with EcSell from the beginning, providing technical support and guidance.

For the past 15 years Jeffrey has been in a direct support role providing customized and personal support services for businesses of all sizes. His dedication to understanding and supporting technology and the ability to break down the technical terms and explain complex ideas in an easy and understandable fashion makes him a great asset the the EcSell team.

Jeffrey holds certifications in all aspects of server systems, networking, computer support, and information security, and has a background in computer programming. He recently completed his CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.

Jeffrey enjoys outdoor power sports activities with his two boys and wife in and around Lincoln, Nebraska where they call home.

Anna began her career with EcSell in the summer of 2014 to lead in the creation of all strategies and execution that improve awareness and brand image for the EcSell Institute. As a University of Nebraska-Lincoln alumna, Anna graduated with high distinction from the college of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Some of Anna's favorite experiences prior to joining the EcSell team were working within the communications department for the Governor of Nebraska as well as working with the talented marketing and PR professionals at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital.

With a passion for results and motivation to succeed, Anna continues to serve and market to prospective clients while enlightening current clients on how to build a world-class sales coaching team and the importance in doing so. She brings an extensive background in areas such as B2B marketing, project management, social engagement, HTML coding, video production, strategic communications and on her way to becoming HubSpot certified in several areas.

When she’s away from her Apple products, you can find Anna enjoying the outdoors, specifically on her bike commuting to work, as well as staying connected within the community and supporting Husker athletics. In her free time she enjoys being a contributing writer for an online magazine called Holstee, rock climbing, visiting long-distance friends and crossing off items on her bucket list. There’s no doubt she takes every opportunity to capture the small joys in life.

Mike_H.Mike Hintz, Independent Sales Partner

Mike is the President of Northlink Consulting and works with executive teams to optimize their marketing and sales channel using his diverse personal and professional background. His background as a freelance artist gives him a creative mindset when dealing with complex corporate client scenarios. His experience in the high-pressure ICU nurse environment and military background has taught him the importance of process and procedure. With several top performing sales years under his belt, Mike lead several training teams that addressed the domestic and international needs for billion dollar publicly traded companies and 'not-for-profit' as well. Even small companies struggle with making their goals of transformation stick and achieve lasting change. That is why Mike invests his time and expertise with the clients who understand the kind of work and commitment required to achieve the goals they want.

Mike lives in southwest Michigan with his family and is currently authoring a book about the transformative powers we all posses. One of his great passions after art is scuba diving. Mike has been diving the shipwrecks of the Great Lakes for the past 10 years, and while on vacation he'll never pass up the opportunity to swim with the sea life in the warm waters of the Caribbean, Mexico, or Hawaii.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, from Princeton University. He is on the board of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, is a past President and Board Chair of the Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta and is a marathon runner in pursuit of a Boston Qualifier.

Aspen, VP of Office TherapyAspen

Aspen has over four years of experience in the therapy field. She puts in long hours at the office and enjoys a nice treat a couple times a day. She specializes in lengthy naps, stare downs until you pet her and shaking hands. 

Aspen has recently completed her tests to be a Certified Therapy Dog. She and her owners are very proud of her accomplishment.
