    The general context was something along the lines of “our team would be so much better if they’d just step up their game – they’re such a flat tire.” What a descriptive picture this analogy creates. A flat tire is one vital piece of a working group that slows down the whole and impedes their momentum. While the team may still move forward, their capacity is diminished and efficiency is reduced.
