    The 2018 Highest Performing Coach and Team Award Winners

    At our most recent Sales Coaching Summit, we announced our 2018 Sales Coaching Award winners. Two award recipients were recognized for not only leading their teams to excellent sales results, but doing so through the implementation of coaching best practices that allow their sales team members to grow and flourish. The highest individual honor was bestowed upon 2018 Coach of the Year, Curt Reekers of Orthopedic Solutions Inc.

    Mr. Reekers manages a sales team that was over 100% to sales goal in their most recent fiscal year. The success of his team has been credited to Mr. Reekers’ consistent, responsive and accountable leadership style. In an annual coaching quality survey, Mr. Reekers’ sales reps indicated a high degree of satisfaction with his coaching, with 100% of them describing him as an excellent sales coach.

    Further, they offered comments such as “he constantly challenges me to get better and grow by understanding me, our business and holding me accountable to improve and excel.”

    Going beyond expectations, Mr. Reekers executed his coaching activities at a 104% completion rate, as measured in EcSell Institute’s ONE-UP Coaching Cloud. In appreciation and celebration of Mr. Reekers, many of his sales team members recorded their tributes to his coaching as part of the award presentation.

    Delta Dental of Wisconsin was recognized as EcSell Institute’s 2018 Coaching Team of the Year. As the company began their last fiscal year, the Delta Dental of Wisconsin team faced a challenging environment because of changes taking place in its industry, and knew they had to do things differently to achieve their goals.

    So they focused on new strategies to better engage with existing and prospective customers. Importantly, their leaders encouraged all team members to experiment with ways to improve their work. By not resting on their laurels and fostering an environment that encouraged new ways of working, the team ended the year on target  and set themselves up well for success in the year to come.

    Both of these award winners have spent years partnering with EcSell Institute to improve their coaching of their sales teams. Like most top performers, they have demonstrated a thirst for knowledge and a desire to constantly improve.

    They know that as they become better coaches, they help their team members become better individual performers. This focus on their own skill development has not only helped them hit their sales targets, but most importantly, helped their team members achieve their personal and professional goals.
