Clinton Oliver Longenecker, is an award winning educator, is one of “America’s leaders in the area of rapid performance improvement”and is the Stranahan Professor of Leadership and Organizational Excellence in The College of Business and Innovation at The University of Toledo. His teaching, research and consulting interests are in high performance leadership and creating great organizations. He has been the recipient of over forty (40) outstanding teaching, service and research awards and numerous industry awards including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Toastmaster International Leadership Award, and The Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service, and numerous “Best Professor” recognitions. In addition, he has also been recently recognized by The Economistas one of the Top Fifteen Business Professors in the World.

He has published over 170 articles and papers in leading academic and professional journals including the Sloan Management Review, Industrial Management, Business Horizons, European Business Review, and OrganizatLongenecker_-_HolyToledoional Dynamics among others. He is a frequent media source and his research has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily, MSNBC, NPR and a wide variety of media outlets. His best-selling book, Getting Results: Five Absolutes for High Performance describes the best practices of over 2,000 high performance managers and how they achieve outstanding performance and has been translated into nine languages. His latest book, published with Greg Papp and Tim Stansfield, Two-Minute Drill: Lessons for Rapid Organizational Improvement from America’s Greatest Game chronicles the keys to rapid performance improvement from their research on over 1,000 organizational improvement initiatives. Clint is an active community servant, a committed member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and an active Bible study leader and Christian speaker. He has spent extensive time working in the country of Haiti managing missionary school and hospital construction projects. Chuck Smith New Hire

Chuck Smith

Chuck Smith may be the only temp ever who bought his agency.

With a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School in hand and few job prospects, Smith went looking for work in 1988. He answered a classified ad placed by a new temp agency looking for skilled workers. On his second temp assignment he was sent home from the job before it started because “the old geezers you’d be working for expect a skirt outside their door.” -- This according to the Office Manager for a large architectural firm in downtown Chicago.

Undeterred, Smith went on temping at ad agencies, newspapers, and other architects. Next it was on to radio fame as a guest on Cathy O’Malley’s WGN radio program, appearing as the “male secretary” along with a female firefighter in a show dedicated to the changing workplace.

Fast forward 25 years, Smith now owns and operates NewHire. NewHire provides the candidates, hiring tools and coaching to help small & mid-sized business hire better.

Chuck has interviewed more than 20,000 candidates for work, helping more than 4,000 people get jobs. His 25 years of recruiting & management experience make him a sought-after speaker by business owners, consultants and industry leaders alike.

Chuck holds a Bachelor's Degree from the George Washington University and a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago Divinity School.
